Abstract
English

The purpose of this study is to describe how the Problem Based Learning paradigm is used to improve mathematics learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 2 Tondano on the topic of probability. Experimental Research is used in this type of research. The ULW class of SMK Negeri 2 Tondano serves as the research population. Two samples were selected, with the ULW-1 class serving as the experimental class and the ULW-2 class as the control class. Both classes each have 16 students. The research design used is Posttest-Only Control Design. The average value of the experimental class on the posttest was 83.187, while the control group was 73.125. By using the hypothesis test, namely the t-test with a significance level of 5%, the results of the study in both classes showed that t_count = 4.312> t_table = 1.697, then H0 is rejected so that H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be said that the Problem Based Learning model produces superior learning outcomes for students in terms of probability material than the direct learning model.
