This study was conducted in Konawe Regency, precisely at the Konawe Police, using the type of research, namely empirical normative. The data collection method used was document study, field surveys and interviews using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen: 1. The factors causing criminal acts committed by children are caused by 3 (three) factors, namely: a. Due to environmental influences; b. Children's rights are not protected; c. Children's rights are not fulfilled because parents/guardians/foster parents prioritize themselves. 2. Legal protection efforts for children who commit crimes, there are two formulations regarding child protection, namely; a. All efforts made consciously by every person or government and private institution aimed at securing, controlling, fulfilling the physical, mental, and social welfare of children and adolescents in accordance with their interests and basic rights; b. All joint efforts made consciously by individuals, families, communities, government agencies and the private sector to secure, provide and fulfill the spiritual and physical welfare of children aged 0 - 21 years, who are not and have never been married, in accordance with their basic rights and interests so that they can develop themselves as optimally as possible.
