Abstract
Research and analysis of magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity of soil profiles have been carried out. Case study: nickel mining area, Kaisabu Baru Village, Sorawolio District, Baubau City. This study aims to obtain an overview of the magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity of the soil profile in the nickel mining area of Kaisabu Baru Village, Sorawolio District, Baubau City. This research was conducted to see the magnetic susceptibility and conductivity of the soil profile. The measurement method in this study consisted of measuring magnetic susceptibility and going through a compaction process to measure the resistance value to find the conductivity value. The results of this study indicate that the magnetic susceptibility values for the two profiles range from a minimum value of 61.2 x 10-8 m3/kg to a maximum value of 168.8 x 10-8 m3/kg, the mineral type is included in the antiferromagnetic magnetic properties. For the conductivity values, the sample profile 1 with a depth of 0 cm, 45 cm and 90 cm is 44.7 x 10-4 -1m-1, 6.02 x 10-4 -1m-1 and 30, respectively. 85 x 10-4 -1m-1, and for the sample profile 2 with a depth of 0 cm, 45 cm and 90 cm respectively are 61.4 x 10-4 -1m-1, 70 x 10-4 -1m-1 and 5.83 x 10-4 -1m-1.
