Abstract
In the case of free fall motion which is influenced by linear drag with known air friction coefficient parameters b = 0.04 kg/s, m = 0.05 kg, = 0.5s and g = 9.8m/s2, the terminal velocity of the object is 12.25 m/s. In determining the speed, the error value of the Euler method is greater at 17.5800 % while the Runge Kutta Order 4 method only reaches 0.02425 %. Similarly, in determining the distance, the highest error value obtained by the Runge Kutta Order 4 method reached 13.7655% while the error value of the Euler method reached 0.113%. In the case of free fall motion that is influenced by quadratic drag, it is known that the coefficient of air friction b = 0.001225kg/m, m = 0.51kg, = 0.5s and g = 9.8 m/s2, the terminal velocity of the object is 34.64 m/s. In determining the speed value using the numerical method, the error value of the Euler method reaches 3.616% and the Runge Kutta Order 4 method reaches 0.0008%. The results of the research show that numerical models are easier to work with using spreadsheets because they use large arithmetic calculations. The level of accuracy of the Runge Kutta Order 4 method is more accurate than the Euler method
