Abstract

Abstract: Efforts to increase the productivity of the coastal areas of Konawe Kepulauan Regency, among others, through pond cultivation activities. An important aspect of pond cultivation activities is site selection based on land suitability. This study aims to determine the land suitability class of pond cultivation. This research was conducted through field surveys, laboratory analysis and image interpretation, using parameters of water quality, soil, topography and land use.Spatial analysis method is carried out using a weighted tiered overlay with four suitability classes, namely S1 (highly suitable), S2 (moderately suitable), S3 (marginally suitable) and N (not suitable). The results of research showed that the majority of S1 Class was located along the south coast to west, namely Subdistrict of South Wawonii, Central Wawonii and West Wawonii covering 1.236,31 ha. Keywords: Pond Cultivation, Land Suitability, Spatial Analysis
