Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of areas that have the potential to experience food vulnerability in Central Buton Regency. The three main indicators are used to determine the level of vulnerability of food in Central Buton Regency, namely food availability, accessibility and food utilization. The data from the three indicators were obtained through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and literature studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed spatially by the scoring and overlay methods. Furthermore, the data were analyzed spatially with scoring methods and overlays that were run using ArcView software. Based on the results of the analysis, the Central Buton Regency area is divided into two food vulnerability classes, namely not vulnerable and rather vulnerable. The area which is in the rather vulnerable class covers a large part of the Central Buton Regency, which is 63,130.07 ha or 79.1% of the area of Central Buton Regency. Next, the remaining around 20.9% of the Central Buton Regency is included in the class of food insecurity, namely in the Sangia Wambulu District area. This condition is an early warning for the Central Buton District government to take wise steps in overcoming the vulnerability of food in the region. Keywords: Spatial Study, Food Vulnerability, Central Buton District
