Abstract

Relationship of Leg Muscle Power with Long Jump Ability in Students of SMA 1 Wadaga. The first advisor was Saiful and the second advisor is Muhammad Rusli. Department of Physical Education in Health and Recreation, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the relationship of leg muscle power with the ability of long ball jump in students of SMA 1 Wadaga. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people taken using purposive random sampling technique. Instrument used to test leg muscle power by using the Long Jump Standing Test and the Long Jump Ter Achievement. The results obtained were that there was a significant correlation between leg muscle power and the long jump ability where r xy = 0.52 r table at a significant level of 5% with a sample number of 30 = 0.361. While the contribution of leg muscle power to the ability of the long jump is 0.27 or 27%.
