HUBUNGAN POWER OTOT TUNGKAI DENGAN KEMAMPUAN LAY UP SHOOT PERMAINAN BOLA BASKET PADA SISWA EKSTRAKURIKULER SMAN 1 UNAAHA

Abstract
The population in this study were all students who taken part in basketball extracurricular activities that obtain 47 students in SMA Negeri 1 Unaaha consist of 30 male students and 17 female students. The sampling technique as taken by using a purposive sampling technique that is selected based on consideration of male that obtain 30 people who were created by sampled in this study. The instrument test by used to measuredleg muscle power is by vertical jump test, to measured lay-upshoot with the basketball lay-up shootability.The research data were analyzed by using the product moment statistical technique at the = 0.05 significance level where, the results of this study showed that there was a significant correlation between leg muscle power and basketball lay-up shootability, where rxy = 0.50 ≥ rtable (0,05:30) = 0.361, with a coefficient of determination = 0.25 or 25% supported by leg muscle power with lay-up shootability while 75% is supported by other physical conditions. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between the two variables, its means that the better leg muscle power, to the best either of the basketball lay-up shoot ability of extracurricular at the students in SMA Negeri 1 Unaaha.
