HUBUNGAN POWER OTOT LENGAN DENGAN KEMAMPUAN SMASH FOREHAND BULU TANGKIS PADA SISWA KELAS X SMKN 4 KENDARI

Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan power otot lengan dengan kemampuan smash forehand bulu tangkis pada siswa kelas X SMKN 4 Kendari.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMKN 4 Kendari yang berjumlah 338 orang siswa yang terdiri dari 171 siswa putra dan 167 siswa putri. Penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara purposive random sampling yakni berdasarkan pertimbangan jenis kelamin putra diperoleh 171 orang siswa. Kemudian dilakukan random diambil 20% dari jumlah purposive sehingga diperoleh sampel yang berjumlah 34 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur power otot lengan adalah overhand medicine ball throw, kemudian untuk mengukur kemampuan smash forehand bulu tangkis adalah clear test. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistic product moment dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara power otot lengan dengan kemampuan smash forehand bulu tangkis pada siswa kelas X SMKN 4 Kendari. Dimana rxy = 0,80 rtab (0,05:34) = 0,339 dengan koefisien determinasi = 0,64 atau 64%. Jadi power otot lengan memberi kontribusi terhadap kemampuan smash forehand bulu tangkis pada siswa kelas X SMKN 4 Kendari.Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik power otot lengan maka akan semakin baik pula kemampuan smash forehand bulu tangkis pada siswa kelas X SMKN 4 Kendari.Kata Kunci: Power, otot, lengan, smash forehand ABSTRACTErik Saputra, Stambuk: A1F1 15 068 The relationship between muscle power arm with a forehand smash badminton ability students SMKN 4 Kendari. Department of Health Physical Education and Recreation, the Faculty of Education.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of muscle power arm with a forehand smash badminton ability students SMKN 4 Kendari.The population in this study were all students of class X SMK 4 Kendari, amounting to 338 students consisting of 171 male and 167 female student. Sampling in this study conducted by purposive random sampling that is based on the consideration of male genderobtained 171 students. Then do random taken 20% of the amount so obtained purposive sample of 34 students. The instrument used to measure arm muscle power is the medicine ball overhand throw, and then to measure the ability of a forehand smash badminton is a clear test. Data were analyzed using statistical technique product moment with significance level of 0.05. These results indicate that there is significant correlation between muscle power arm with a forehand smash badminton ability students SMKN 4 Kendari. Where r xy = 0.80 rtab (0.05: 34) = 0,339 with the coefficient of determination = 0.64 or 64%. So arm muscle power to contribute to the ability of a forehand smash badminton students SMKN 4 Kendari.Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the better the arm muscle power it will be better the forehand smash badminton ability students SMKN 4 Kendari.
