HUBUNGAN KEKUATAN OTOT TUNGKAI DENGAN KEMAMPUAN LARI 100 METER PADA SISWA SMA NEGERI 3 KULISUSU

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of leg muscle strength with the ability to run 100 meters in high school students 3 Kulisusu. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 3 Kulisusu, totaling 156 people consisting of 86 sons and 70 girls. Samples were drawn using a purposive random sampling technique that is taken based on consideration of male sex that is obtained as many as 86 people then carried out randomly which is taken 20% of the population so that a sample of 31 people is obtained. While the instrument used was a leg muscle strength test by means of a half squat test, a 100 meter running ability test by a 100-meter running test. Data analyzed were leg muscle strength data taken by half squat for 30 seconds and 100 meter running ability data taken for 100 meters. The data analysis technique used to analyze the hypotheses proposed is correlation analysis using the SPSS version 21 program. The results obtained from the hypothesis test obtained by the correlation value rXY = -0.734 are in the high correlation category, with a significant value = 0,000 0.05. From the results obtained it can be concluded that there is a relationship between leg muscle strength and the ability to run 100 meters in high school students 3 Kulisusu.
