HUBUNGAN KECEPATAN DAN KELENTURAN TOGOK DENGAN KEMAMPUAN LOMPAT JAUH PADA SISWA SMA NEGERI 8 KENDARI

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between speed and flexibility of torso with long jump ability at the students in SMA Negeri 8 Kendari. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 8 Kendari, amounting to 237 people. A sample obtain 36 people were takenby using random sampling techniques. The instrument used to measure of speed by using 40 meter run test, to measure flexibility of torso by using the flexiometer test and the long jump ability by doing the long jumptest. The speed data is taken as far as 40 meters, flexibility of torso data is taken by distance of tensionwhile the long jump ability data is taken by the long jump distance. The data analysis technique by used to analyze the hypotheses proposed is the correlation test by using SPSS version 21.The results obtained from the testof hypothesis is that there is a correlation of speed with long jump ability, where the significant value = 0,000 0.05 with a correlation value of 0.774, there is a correlation between the flexibility of torso with the long jump ability where the significant value = 0,000 0.05 with a correlation value of 0.693, there is a correlation between speed and flexibility of torso with long jump ability where the significant value = 0,000 0.05 with a correlation value of 0.832. From the results obtained it can be concluded that there is a correlation between speed and flexibility of torso with long jump ability at the studentsin SMA Negeri 8 Kendari.
