HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN GIZI, JUMLAH UANG SAKU DAN KEBIASAAN KONSUMSI FAST FOOD DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS EKONOMI DAN BISNIS UNIVERSITAS HALU OLEO TAHUN 2023

Abstract

Abstrak Gaya hidup diperkotaan yang serba praktis memungkinkan seseorang lebih memilih mengonsumsi fast food dengan alasan menghemat waktu. Pengetahuan gizi seseorang sangat berpengaruh pada sikap dan perilaku dalam pemilihan makanan. Konsumsi makanan juga dipengaruhi oleh uang saku yang diterima dari orang tua. Pada mahasiswa yang memiliki uang saku yang cukup besar cenderung memilih mengonsumsi makanan cepat saji atau fast food. Sehingga, mempengaruhi terhadap kebiasaan konsumsi makan seseorang yang lebih memilih fast food tanpa memperhatikan kandungan gizi yang diperoleh dari makanan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan gizi, jumlah uang saku dan kebiasaan konsumsi fast food dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Halu Oleo Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Besar sampel 90 orang yang dipilih secara stratified Random Sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Chi-Square dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan status gizi (P Value = 0,003), ada hubungan antara jumlah uang saku dengan status gizi (P Value = 0,042) dan ada hubungan antara kebiasaan konsumsi fast food dengan status gizi (P Value = 0,053). Diharapkan agar mahasiswa menambah wawasan terkait status gizi mahasiswa agar mahasiswa lebih peduli dengan kesehatannya sendiri. Karena hal tersebut yang bisa membuat status gizi mahasiswa jadi lebih baik. Dan diharapkan untuk menjaga pola hidup sehat dan baik dengan cara mengonsumsi makanan yang bergizi seimbang untuk menjaga agar status gizi tetap normal. A person's nutritional knowledge is very influential on attitudes and behavior in food selection. Food consumption is also influenced by the pocket money received from parents. For college students who have a large enough allowance, they tend to choose to eat fast food or fast food. So, it affects the eating habits of someone who prefers fast food without paying attention to the nutritional content obtained from these foods. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, pocket money and fast food consumption habits with nutritional status in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Halu Oleo University in 2023. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The total sample size is 90 people selected by stratified random sampling technique. The statistical test used was the Chi Square statistical test with the results of the study showed that there is relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (P Value = 0.003), there is relationship between the amount of pocket money with nutritional status (P Value = 0.042) and there is a relationship between fast food consumption habits with nutritional status (P Value = 0.053). It is hoped that the university students will add insights related to the nutritional status of university students so that they are more concerned with their own health. Because this can make the nutritional status of college students better. And it is expected to maintain a healthy and good lifestyle by eating a nutritionally balanced diet to keep the nutritional status is normal.
