Abstract
Kata kunci: Kejadian Anemia, Pola Makan, Status Gizi, Konsumsi Makanan Zat Besi Abstract Anemia is a reduction in the number, color, or size of red blood cells. Nutritional anemia is caused by several things, namely, the daily diet does not contain enough iron, the absorption of iron in the intestine is poor or disturbed, parasitic infections/other infections, the ability to accommodate iron decreases, or the need for iron increases. Female students from the class of 2021 are still considered a group of teenagers who are vulnerable to anemia. Weakening of the body's immune system makes it more susceptible to disease, conditions deteriorate, and interferes with motor, mental, and intellectual development. Ultimately, this has an impact on the quality of human resources. This research aims to determine the relationship between diet, nutritional status, and consumption of iron foods with the incidence of anemia in female students at the Faculty of Public Health, Halu Oleo University, class of 2021. This type of research is analytical using a cross-sectional design approach. The total sample was 78 female students using purposive sampling techniques. The analysis used is a bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed a relationship between diet (p value=0.03) and consumption of iron foods (p value=0.002) with the incidence of anemia. Still, there was no relationship between nutritional status (p value=0.09) and the incidence of anemia. It is better for students, especially female students, to pay more attention to their diet, especially consuming iron foods to avoid anemia.
