Abstract

AbstractBackground: Workload is a matter related to the physical and psychological or mental condition of an employee. The state of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the workload of medical personnel on guard at the Bahtramas hospital emergency. It can be seen from mental burden, physical burden, time requirement, performance load, operating expenses and emotional burden. Objectives: To determine the difference in the workload of general ER medical personnel before and during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Bahteramas Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi ProvinceMethods: The study used an experimental research design. Results: Showed that there were differences in the variables studied before and during the pandemic, with a confidence level of 95% (0.05) sig value (p-value) was 0.000 for the variables of mental burden, physical burden, time requirement, business burden and emotional burden. While the performance load shows a sig value (p-value) of 0.025 with a 95% confidence level (0.05.Conclusion: That there are differences in the workload variables (mental load, physical burden, time requirements, performance load, business burden and emotional burden) for general ER medical personnel before and during the COVID-19 pandemic at Bahteramas Hospital, so that the workload is not excessive, it is necessary attention to things that can affect such as physical and mental tasks.
