Abstract

AbstractBackground: The level of performance of midwives in providing antenatal care services can be related to various factors such as knowledge, attitudes, motivation and incentives. Good health performance will have an impact on the quality of examination services for pregnant women, including the performance of midwives as providers of maternal and neonatal health services. This is because midwives are considered as health workers who are very strategic in reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) so that performance needs to be improved. The importance of antenatal care or ANC because it is useful in maintaining the physical and mental health of the mother, monitoring the health of the mother and fetus so that delivery is safe, in order to achieve optimal baby health, detect and treat early pregnancy complications and diseases. Objectives: This study aims to determine the factors related to the performance of midwives in antenatal care (ANC) services at the Tirawuta Health Center, East Kolaka Regency in 2021. Methods: This research method uses an analytical research type with a Cross Sectional approach and the sampling technique uses total sampling. Results: Based on the results of the Chi-Square statistical test at the 95% confidence level (0.05) it shows that the p value is - 1000 so that the p value =0.05, bivariate analysis obtained knowledge (p-value -1.000), attitude (p-value = 0.821), motivation (p-value = 0.011), and incentives (p-value = 0.044).Conclusion: The results of the study can be concluded that there is no relationship between knowledge and attitudes with. performance of midwives in ANC services, while there is a relationship between motivation and incentives with midwives' performance in ANC services
