Abstract

Nutritional status is a condition caused by a balance between the intake of nutrients from food and the need for nutrients needed for the body’s metabolism. Each individual needs different intake of nutrients between individuals, this depends on the person’s age, gender, body activity in a day, and weight. The purpose of this study was to determine the Factors Related to Nutritional Status in Toddlers in the Waara Health Center Work Area, Lohia District, Muna Regency in 2021. The research design used is observational research with a cross-sectional study approach. The number of samples selected was 88 involving mothers who had children aged 12-59 months at the Waara Health Center. Data were taken using questionnaires. The data were analyzed using a chi square test with significant levels (α = 0.05). The results showed that there was no relationship between maternal knowledge and nutritional status in toddlers with a value (ρ = 0.510 0.05), there was no relationship between family income and nutritional status in toddlers (ρ = 0.492 0.05), and there was a relationship between the frequency of eating and nutritional status in toddlers (ρ = 0.005 0.05) in the Waara Health Center Work Area, Lohia District, Muna Regency in 2021.
