SPATIAL CLUSTER OF DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER IN KENDARI CITY

Abstract

In 2018, 111 cases of dengue fever emerged in Kendari City. This situation illustrates that Disease Eradication and Prevention activities are still not optimal. This study aims to see the spatial cluster of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the Kota Kendari area. This research was conducted in March 2019. This type of research is quantitative research with a spatial approach based on geographic information systems. The object of this study was all DHF sufferers recorded in the 2018 Kendari City Health Service report. Results of the research based on the Space-Time Permutation Model using the SatScan application show that the DHF cases in Kendari City formed four clusters that have statistical values, namely the Most Likely Cluster centered on coordinates latitude 040 00’12, 96” and longitude 1220 29’46,32” BT radius 0, 63 km p-value = 0,0000029, Secondary Cluster 1 is centered on coordinates latitude 030 58’ 49,44” and latitude 1220 30’ 5.40” radius 0.48 km with p-value = 0,00042, Secondary Cluster 2 is centered on coordinates latitude 030 59’ 9,24” and longitude 1220 30’ 59.40” radius 0,011 km p-value = 0,013, and Secondary Cluster 3 centered on coordinates latitude 040 01’ 48, 00” and longitude 1220 29’ 45.96” radius 2.55 km Pvalue = 0,010
