Abstract

Surveillance is one of the important activities that can be carried out to monitor the development of Covid-19 cases. Surveillance is a system that has indicators that determine the success of the surveillance system. One of these indicators is the input indicator, which includes aspects such as human resources and infrastructure. This study aimed to find out the description of the Covid-19 epidemiological surveillance system based on aspects of human resources and infrastructure at the Nambo Health Center, Kendari City in 2022. This study was a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. There were 5 informants, consisting of key informants (head of puskesmas and head of KTU), regular informants (surveillance officers and laboratory officers), and additional informants (Kendari City Health Office officers). Informants were determined by using purposive sampling technique. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and additional instruments were used interview guides and audio/picture/video recording equipment. The findings data were validated by using triangulation technique, which consisted of source triangulation, method triangulation and time triangulation. The results show that the human resource aspect in Covid-19 surveillance is adequate and in accordance with the Covid-19 control guidelines, in this case there is one Covid-19 surveillance officer who has received training. Likewise, the facilities and infrastructure provided to support the activities of surveillance officers in recording, monitoring and evaluation are in accordance with applicable regulations
