EFFORTS TO PREVENT AND CONTROL HIV AIDS DISEASE IN THE WORK AREA OF PASICHOLGA PUSKESMAS, PASICHOLGA SUB-DISTRICT, MUNA DISTRICT IN 2022

Abstract

HIV-AIDS (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system which can increase the body’s ability to fight disease. Reports of HIV cases in 2022 in the Pasikolaga Public health center area as many as 4 cases with 1 death. The purpose of this research is to see the picture of public knowledge about HIV-AIDS as well as conducting an Anti-Body HIV-AIDS examination. The research method used in this research is descriptive with the technique of making a sample using purposive sampling, namely determining samples or informants based on certain criteria such as having migrated or working outside the city, as well as the family of the worker (in this case the worker’s children and wife). as well as HIV testing. The result of this study is that at the community pretest level about HIV-AIDS the lowest score with 0 is correct and the highest score is 5 correct. After the counseling was carried out, a posttest was carried out with improved results, the lowest score was 5 correct and the highest score was 7 correct, the HIV-AIDS antibody examination on immigrants from three respondents showed negative results (Non Reactive), in this case the respondent was included in the category free from HIV. -AIDS. The conclusion in this study is the increase in knowledge after counseling. Keywords: Prevention, Control of HIV-AIDS
