Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that cannot be transmitted from person to person. It is estimated that deaths caused by NCDs will continue to increase every year where the largest increase can occur in areas with high poverty rates. The purpose of this screening activity is to detect risk factors that can occur due to non-communicable diseases with the main target being the coastal community of Kapoiala District, Konawe Regency. The screening method carried out is coupled with community service activities, in health social services, in the form of health counseling, blood pressure checks, checking cholesterol levels, uric acid levels, and temporary blood sugar levels, through capillary blood sampling. The results of the examination showed 96 respondents, consisting of 28 men and 68 women. The results of the blood pressure examination showed 60% male, 40% female, where normal blood pressure was 12%, while high blood pressure was 88%. (Male: 52%, Female: 36%). Cholesterol examination results, male 11.1%, female 88.9%, where normal cholesterol is 50.0%, while high cholesterol is 50.0%. (Male: 5.6%, Female: 44.4%). On examination of uric acid, the results were 22.2% male, 78.8% female, where normal uric acid was 66.7%, while high uric acid was 33.3%. (Male: 3.7%, Female: 29.6%). Meanwhile, at the time of blood sugar examination, it was found that 19.2% men, 81.8% women, where normal blood sugar was 92.3%, while high blood sugar was 7.7%. (l Male: 0%, Female: 7.7%). The increasing risk of PTM, it is necessary to provide education and assistance to coastal communities to carry out early detection or screening of PTM, including the socialization of the GERMAS Healthy Community Movement, through “posbindu” services, especially at risk groups. It is necessary to research the risk factors for hypertension in the coastal community of Kapoiala, Konawe Regency
