Abstract

Background: Dengue fever (DF) is a contagious disease sporadically that always be Outbreak Events (KLB) every year. The purpose of this study is to present Dengue fever (DF) data’s in Kendari City in 2016 using cartographical map, knowing the pattern of spread of the disease, knowing the relation between the spread of DF and population density, distribution of population, climatic factors (rainfall, days of rain, and humidity) in Kendari City. Methods: This study was a descriptive analytic research with purposive sampling method. Samples were 234 people taken from secondary data of Kendari City Health Office about DF incidence in 2016. Result: The highest DF cases occur in Puuwatu District, the lowest number of cases occur in Abeli Puuwatu District included in the high calcification, District of Mandonga, Baruga, Kendari Barat, Wua-Wua, Kadia, Kambu and Poasia included moderate classification, while Kendari District and Abeli District included lower classification. In Kendari, it did not describe the relationship between population density and population distribution with DF cases. Distribution by month of DF cases, occurs more frequently in January and February with the average humidity 83.67%,. Conclusion: The incidence of DF in Puuwatu District included in the higher classification, District of Mandonga, Baruga, west Kendari, Wua-Wua, Kadia, Kambu and Poasia including moderate classification, while Kendari District and Abeli District including lower classification. In Kendari, does not describe the relationship between between population density and population distribution with incidence of DF
