Abstract

Based on the 2019 Riskesdas data, the diversity of food consumption for infants aged 0-11 months for Southeast Sulawesi Province only reached 21.29%. This proportion is still below expectations because the more diverse the food consumed, the more varied the nutrients needed for growth. The purpose of this research is to get an overview of the pattern of complementary feeding based on ABC theory in infants 0-12 months. The research was conducted qualitatively with qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach with the number of informants in this study as many as 5 key informants and 5 ordinary informants. The results showed that sinonggi as a traditional food was introduced to infants at the age of 8 months as a form of guarding the cultural values of Tolaki. Information on giving MP ASI was first obtained from the family rather than health workers.
