Abstract

Kata kunci: Etnomatematika, AliondaAbstract: This study aimed to explore the concept of ethnomathematics in Alionda of North Buton society. The data collection technique of this study was a semi-structured interview. The data validation test was carried out using triangulation of the source. The data source of this study was from North Buton society who fully understood Alionda. The results of the study showed that Alionda is a tradition of North Buton society, which means to join hands. Alionda of North Buton society contains several mathematical concepts, including: (a) Set; (b) Probability; (c) Circle; (d) Relation. The Alionda scenes include the mekoka scene and the melionda scene. The mathematical concept used in Alionda of North Buton society has similarities with the concept of formal mathematics in the School. Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Alionda
