PENERAPAN PRINSIP HI-TECH ARCHITECTURE PADA AKADEMI DESAIN GRAFIS DAN ANIMASI DI KOTA KENDARI

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerencanaan akademi desain grafis dan animasi di Kota Kendari lahir untuk memberikan jawaban kepadamasyarakat Kota Kendari terhadap kebutuhan penyampaian informasi serta gagasan yang lebih menarik dankreatif secara visual. Minimnya tenaga ahli serta kurangnya wadah masyarakat untuk berkarya, dan kebutuhanmasyarakat lokal yang semakin hari semakin meningkat, menyebabkan kebutuhan atas pendidikan desain grafisdan animasi harus ditingkatkan ke jenjang yang lebih profesional. Berdasarkan hasil dari studi literatur,observasi dan studi banding yang dilakukan, faktor penentuan lokasi memberikan pengaruh besar terhadapkemudahan masyarakat dalam mengakses bangunan, orientasi pihak pengelola kampus untuk memperolehmahasiswa baru di setiap tahunnya, dan faktor lokasi memberikan dampak visual yang menarik bagi bangunanitu sendiri. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa perencanaan sebuah akademi desain grafis yang mampu memberikancontoh sebagai sebuah akademi desain grafis yang mampu berdiri secara mandiri dengan penerapan arsitekturberteknologi tinggi atau yang lebih dikenal dengan hi-tech architecture untuk menunjang segala kebutuhan danaktifitas yang terjadi di dalam bangunan, sehingga kedepannya proyek ini dapat menghasilkan desainer-desainerdan animator-animator profesional yang dapat bersaing secara nasional maupun internasional.Kata Kunci: Akademi Desain Grafis dan Animasi, Kota Kendari, Hi-Tech ArchitectureABSTRACTThe planning of graphic design and animation academy in Kota Kendari appears to provide the answer tothe people about the need of convey ideas and information that visually creative and attractive. Lacks ofexperts, lacks of space to work, and higher interest of local people cause the need of graphic design andanimation education to be increased to a more professional level. Based on the result of literature study,observation, and the comparative study, the location determination factors provide the convinience accessibilityfor the comunity to access the building, the convinience fot the campus in obtaining the new students every year,and the location determination factors also affect the building facade visually. The result of this research is inthe form of the planning of a graphic design and animation academy that can stand independently with theapplication of high technology or hi-tech architecture to support all the needs and activities in the building.
