Abstract
Abstract Increasing population and man made infrastructure developement result in massive land use changes which is currently marked by converting green open spaces with lots of trees to unpaved surfaces, such as residential and industries. The impact of such changes has been clearly seen by the increase of anual surface runoff and stream leading to flooding in rainy season and reduced water availabity during dry season. To anticipate the enhanced consequences. One of the promising strategic measures to handle the todays and future problem is through constructing an absortion wells. This research aims to calculate the number of wells and the dimension needed to absord the expected rainfall so that the increase of runoff leading to flood would be minimised. From the result, it is found that with the area of Lippo Mall Kendari around 11.848,25 m2 and unpaved area 9.051,4 m2 the stormwater can be produced is around 0,028 m3/detik. Then it will be discharged through pipe going to the absortion wells with the total deep is 114,13 m. Considering the too high deep that could be costly to build, the wells will be placed on serial and connected order within nine (9) wells with 8 m height and 1,5 m diameter. The number of wells needed to collect those discharge is around 15 wells and will be districuted around the building As a result, using those measures, there is a significant reduction is discharge as 0,214 m3/detik atau 77.26 % Abstrak Pertumbuhan penduduk dan pembangunan yang cepat menyebabkan perubahan tata guna lahan. Haryono, depan MALL. Kata Kunci: Sumur resapan, debit, Mall
