Abstract
English
The increasing number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia, fuels such as diesel, pertalite, and Pertamax are urgently needed. At a number of gas stations in Makassar City, officers to check the volume of the buried tank are generally done by manually measuring the level of fuel in the buried tank, namely using a deep stick that is inserted into the buried tank until it reaches the bottom of the tank. Measuring the fuel level manually, this method is less effective because to measure the fuel in the buried tank you have to find the limit position of the pole rod being immersed in the tank. A real time monitoring system is needed that is able to read the altitude and availability of fuel, especially diesel fuel. This research focuses on designing and manufacturing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based solar height monitoring tool that can access and monitor via Blynk and Web Server on mobile phones/laptops. The tool that was built uses the HC SR-04 ultrasonic sensor in reading the height of the solar distance and uses the Wemos D1 mini as a microcontroller in its programming. This research examines the Quality of Service (QoS) using throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter parameters by comparing the two providers. The results obtained from providers X and Y are that provider X is superior in the jitter category with a web server platform value of 86.356 ms and blynk 114..53 ms with the standard TIPHON index “2 Medium”. The results of testing the entire system by testing the position of the HC SR-4 ultrasonic sensor, the average error for the entire system with a value of the middle side is 0.2187%, the left side is 0.1479%, and the right side is 0.2349%, the lowest error percentage value there is a left side. This difference in error is due to the different angles used when measuring.
