Abstract
This study aims to formulate a risk management strategy in maritime infrastructure maintenance to improve port operational safety and productivity. The evaluation focuses on the role of infrastructure components, including facilities, technology, and operational procedures, in the effectiveness of risk management. Maritime infrastructure maintenance and repair play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of port activities while maintaining safety standards. However, this process often faces challenges, such as work delays, equipment damage, and environmental factors that have the potential to reduce productivity. This study applies a risk management approach through the identification of potential hazards, analysis of the level of likelihood and impact, and formulation of mitigation strategies based on maritime safety standards. The results show that the implementation of structured risk management can reduce the potential for work accidents, reduce unexpected costs, and improve infrastructure reliability and port operational efficiency. This strategy demonstrates effectiveness in balancing safety with productivity through optimizing infrastructure maintenance management. Thus, this study confirms that risk management is not only an important instrument in maritime infrastructure maintenance but also a strategic approach to ensure sustainable port productivity. These findings contribute to the development of adaptive, safety-oriented maintenance policies that are responsive to the dynamics of the maritime operational environment.
