Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract The growth of digital technology has led to significant changes in commercial practices, shifting from conventional systems to electronic commerce (e-commerce). E-commerce platforms have become a strategic tool for MSMEs to market their products online. Toba Creative Marketplace is a web and mobile-based platform developed to support the digitalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Toba Regency. Initial evaluation results show that this application is not fully optimized in terms of ease of use and good user experience, as evidenced by difficult navigation, limited notifications, and a long and insufficiently integrated flow of business processes. These obstacles prevent the effective utilization of the application and require comprehensive improvements to the User Interface design. This study aims to redesign the User Interface of the application using a User Experience Design Process approach that includes five stages: user research, analysis, design, production, and evaluation. Of the entire process, the user research and design are the most important stages. The user research stage identifies the needs and problems comprehensively from the perspective of both users and experts. The design stage produces information architecture, user flow, task flow, and style guide designs as the main references for redesigning the User Interface. An evaluation following the User Interface redesign showed that the user experience score improved from 48.3 (Poor) to 88.5 (Excellent), with a 100% test success rate. The interactive prototype developed is expected to serve as a reference for further system development to support the digital transformation of MSMEs optimally and sustainably.
