Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic that has been going on for three years has had an impact not only on the health sector but also on all sectors of life, including agriculture. Poverty and unemployment rates have increased quite significantly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2022. This increase in poverty rates is a result of the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), reducing the general economic activity of the community, thus affecting people's income and consumption. The welfare level of most households in Indonesia has decreased during the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Indonesian government has responded to the crisis caused by this pandemic by issuing various policies aimed at overcoming the impact of the pandemic felt by the community. So that the lives of rural communities are not further affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, training and assistance in the agricultural sector need to be carried out. An agricultural commodity that can support increasing farmers' income is cultivating melons. Melon cultivation has become an important economic activity for the community and many farmers rely on melon harvests as their main source of income. Because melon plants have advantages for cultivation, including: (a) high income potential, (b). Stable Market Demand, (c) Easy to Cultivate, and (d) Increase Land Productivity. Therefore, melon is one of the potential fruit commodities to increase farmer income after the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, melon has the advantage of being able to be cultivated in narrow land, including in home yards, its selling value is high, it can be planted all the time, its harvest age is short, around 60-80 days depending on the variety and land, and it is not easily damaged so that its fresh age is longer.
