Abstract
Hypertension in pregnancy is one of the most common problems and causes one in three maternal deaths in the world. In Indonesia, preeclampsia causes 30-40% of maternal deaths and 30-50% of perinatal deaths. To reduce the morbidity and mortality rates associated with preeclampsia, a moral contribution is made in the form of health education at the Community Health Center, which is expected to be able to increase the level of knowledge and attitudes of the community, especially pregnant women and cadres, towards efforts to screen for and manage preeclampsia to prevent the occurrence of eclampsia. This activity was carried out by counseling 50 people at the Sudiang Makassar Community Health Center on May 30, 2024. An initial questionnaire was completed before the counseling and a questionnaire was completed after the counseling. Data from the questionnaire were processed using the SPSS program. The results of this activity were that the activity was carried out well, and participants were active in the question and answer session. Statistically, there was an increase in the value of the questionnaire before and after counseling with a p-value of 0.000. From this activity, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women and cadres in the Sudiang Community Health Center area regarding preeclampsia screening and management efforts to prevent eclampsia which can be seen based on the statistical results of filling out the questionnaire. --- Hipertensi dalam kehamilan merupakan salah satu masalah tersering sebagai penyebab satu dari tiga mortalitas ibu di dunia.
