Abstract

Tapak is the estuary of the Tapak River which is mostly covered in the form of milkfish aquaculture area. Development industry in the Tapak watershed have resulted in a decrease in Tapak water quality due to pollution waste containing heavy metals Cd. It affects the quality of the fish is maintained. This study aims to determine the content of Cd in pond water and fish in the pond area Tapak Semarang. Observational analytic study using a comparative analysis, purposive random sampling method. Methods of data analysis using AAS. Cd content Tapak is <0,004mg / l, the value is still below the threshold set PPRI No.82 year 2001 which was 0,01mg / l. The mean Cd content in the Tapak water pond <0,0045mg/l, the value has exceeded the threshold KepMen LH No.51 year 2004 which was 0,001 mg / l. The mean Cd content in meat fish at all three stations is <0,01mg / l, the value is still below the threshold set ISO 7287:2009 which amounted to 0.1 mg/kg. The conclusion from this study was that the content of cadmium in the Tapak water pond has exceeded the threshold. Cd content in fish is still below the threshold, but still need to be careful because heavy metals are toxic bioaccumulative.
