Abstract
Based on data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD report, flooding occurs almost year-round. One of the sub-districts frequently affected by floods is Bidara Cina, located along the banks of the Ciliwung River. Bidara Cina has five flood disaster evacuation posts. However, the evacuation routes in the Bidara Cina area are incomplete; some evacuation signs are damaged and illegible. One form of community service conducted is socialization in schools. This socialization was carried out for grade 5 students at SD Bidara Cina 5, Jatinegara District, on August 14, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM until completion. The method used was a structured question-and-answer session, accompanied by an animated video about flooding provided by BNPB. At the beginning of the socialization, a pretest was conducted to assess the participants' initial knowledge. The BNPB video covered topics such as flood-prone locations, factors contributing to floods, flood preparedness, actions to take during floods, and post-flood recovery. The socialization session was both conducive and interactive. The results of the post-test following the socialization showed an increase in students' knowledge, with the average score rising from 53 to 69. However, there was minimal improvement in the actions taken during a flood. Despite this, participants demonstrated a strong understanding of what to do when a flood occurs. There is a need to further enhance students' knowledge, particularly regarding pre-disaster preparedness, such as understanding the factors causing floods and preparing a disaster bag. Outreach efforts should also be extended to other flood-prone schools. --- Berdasarkan data laporan BPBD DKI Jakarta terjadinya banjir hampir sepanjang tahun.
