PEMAHAMAN ORANG TUA TENTANG INFORMASI PROGRAM WAJIB BELAJAR PENDIDIKAN DASAR DALAM MEMOTIVASI ANAK SUKU MALIND UNTUK BELAJAR DI KABUPATEN MERAUKE

Abstract

Abstrak Komunikasi mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam setiap sendi kehidupan masyarakat Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman orang tua terhadap informasi pendidikan dan wajib belajar pendidikan dasar. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar anak khususnya suku Malind di Distrik Okaba. Kemudian menganalisis hubungan antara pemahaman orang tua tentang program wajib belajar pendidikan dasar dan motivasi belajar anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Setiap data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara, survei, kemudian data tersebut dianalisis dan di uraikan dalam bentuk kata-kata narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informasi program wajib belajar pendidikan dasar oleh orang tua sangat minim dan motivasi belajar anak suku malind menjadi kurang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman orang tua tentang informasi program wajib belajar pendidikan dasar merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya motivasi belajar anak suku Malind.Abstract Communication has a very important role in all aspects of community life. This study aims to determine the level of understanding of parents and children in particular ethnic motivation in District MALIND OKABA to information education and compulsory education. Parent’s ability to understand information and compulsory education programs and children’s learning motivation are two things that are related to one another and because it is also expressed in this study the relationship between parental understanding of the program compulsory education and children’s learning motivation. This study used a qualitative approach. Any data collected using interviewing techniques, survey, then the data is analyzed and described in narrative form words. The results showed that the information program of compulsory primary education by parents was minimal and child motivation MALIND rate becomes less. It can be concluded that the level of parental understanding of the information the compulsory education program is one of the causes of low motivation MALIND tribal children.
