Abstract
Abstract According to the Pemalang District Health Profile, Pemalang District has a prevalence rate of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus of 2.5%. Pemalang District is the district with the highest number of Diabetes Mellitus out of 14 districts in Pemalang Regency. Reducing this prevalence is crucial due to the disease's impact on human resource quality and healthcare costs. This research is a quantitative research with a case control study design. Data was obtained from non-communicable disease reports of Mulyoharjo Public Health Center, Pemalang District. The sample was determined as 78 cases and 78 controls using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used is a data recording sheet to transfer data from the NCD report. Data were analyzed using the chi square test and logistic regression. The results showed that gender (OR=2.076; 95%CI=1.094-3.938), family history (OR=2.707; 95%CI=1.416-5.175), physical activity (OR=3.200; 95%CI=1.661-6.164), and fruit and vegetable consumption (OR=2.493; 95%CI=1.295-4.799) were associated with the incidence of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in middle adulthood age in Pemalang District with physical activity as the dominant factor.
