Abstract

Abstrack The spread of the virus and the high number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia also have an impact in the field of education. Semarang City on September 22, 2021 found 7 cases in teachers and students, namely two in junior high school and three elementary schools. On November 2, 2021, the Semarang City Health Office found 70 known cases in the school environment after conducting random sampling at 112 schools in Semarang City on October 25 to 27, 2021. The increase in cases in schools is due to violations or non-compliance with implementing health protocols. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between students' knowledge and attitudes towards health protocol compliance in elementary schools. The research was conducted at the Gunungpati District State Elementary School on 27 December 2021 – 14 March 2022. This study is a quantitative study using a cross sectional design. The sample set is 370 people with a purposive sampling technique. The instrument uses a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Chi Square test by showing the results that there was a relationship between knowledge (p = 0.000, RP = 1.935) and attitudes (p = 0.000, RP = 1.939) of students towards health protocol compliance in elementary schools. Conclusion variables that have a relationship with health protocol compliance are students' knowledge and attitudes.
