Abstract

The objective of the research was to know the implementation of Simple Maze method in order to a robot could put the fire out in a labyrinth and go back to the homing as soon as possible. Labirin is a building with many room. The design of this research was Forward Engineeringdesign. The research planed and examined the Simple Maze algorithm ina Wall Follower Robot. It was the appropriateness between three parts of the robot. They were the input which was the sensors, the processing which was the ultrasonic and photodiode, and the output which was the motor dc. The result of the research showed that the validity of the input was 99.63% and the margin of error was1.34%, the error margin of sensor photodiode was 4.9%, and the error margin of PWM motor was 5.0%. The input, processing and the output worked together and had acceleration based on the program that was made in algorithm. In one of the homing and finished positions, Robot that used Simple Maze method was two seconds faster than the conventional method that needed thirteen seconds to finish the job. Simple Maze method could be applied in Wall Follower Robot.
