Abstract
Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The aims of this research are to know effectiveness of quantum model and paired guided inquiry model to write descriptive essay for the students who possess visual and auditory learning style, and the interaction of effectiveness of quantum model and paired guided inquiry how to write descriptive essay based on five graders’ visual and auditory learning style. The result is that: (1) Quantum model is more effective to be used for students who possess visual style (2) Guided Paired Inquiry model is more effective to be used for students who posses auditory style (3) Quantum model is more effective than Guided Paired Inquiry modelin teaching how to write descriptive essay with its interaction with students’ learning styles. The mean of students’ score which used quantum model is higher than the mean of students’ score which used paired guided inquiry model. The effectiveness of quantum and paired guided inquiry model can be seen by the application of both models’ aspects and students’ achievement scores.
