PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN PETROGENOL TERHADAP TANGKAPAN HAMA LALAT BUAH (Bactrocera spp.) PADA TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annum L.)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of petrogenol attractant with sticky trap on plastic bottles against fruit fly pests on chili plants. The research design used was a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with 4 treatments in 5 groups so that 20 experimental units were obtained. Observational variables observed were fruit fly pest population, other pest population and intensity of infested fruit. The results of this study indicate that the use of methyl eugenol affects the capture of fruit fly pests and the intensity of attacked fruit. The use of methyl eugenol in this study was the best treatment because it was able to capture fruit fly pests as much as 77.20 (tails) compared to without using methyl eugenol. The lowest average intensity of infested fruit was 6.41% at 12 weeks after planting. Keywords: Chili; fruit fly; petrogenol
