The farm sector has the potential to be developed, one of which is ducks. Ducks are birds with advantages, among others the meat's distinctive taste with high protein. However, public interest in consuming processed products from duck meat is still low because duck meat contains high cholesterol fat, which causes coronary heart disease. The main objective of this study was to analyze the effect of crab shell chitosan on the lipid profile of duck blood. This study was conducted using a sample of 24 Javan ducks aged five weeks with 4 treatment groups consisting of a control group (giving rations without chitosan), group 1 (giving rations with a dose of 1% chitosan), group 2 (giving rations with a dose of 1.5% chitosan) and group 3 (giving rations with a dose of 2% chitosan), each group was 6 ducks and carried out for 32 days. The result of the study showed that chitosan in the ratio with a dose of 1%, 1.5% chitosan, did not decrease cholesterol levels while at a dose of 2% chitosan, cholesterol levels had a lower value than the control group (without chitosan). It can reduce triglyceride and LDL levels at various doses of chitosan but did not decrease significantly. Meanwhile, the HDL levels of chitosan at various doses can increase the HDL levels in the blood of ducks with significant differences. From this study, it can be concluded that the chitosan in the ratio did not significant (P>0.05) on total cholesterol levels, LDL levels, and triglyceride levels, but had a significant effect (P 0.05) terhadap kadar kolesterol total, kadar LDL, dan kadar Trigliserida akan tetapi berbeda signifikan terhadap kadar HDL (P<0.05) dalam darah dengan dosis optimum 1,5% kitosan dalam ransum.
